The desire to be creative has been present all my life. By the age of 10 I was sewing doll clothes on a treadle machine and winning honors in 4-H. I was hooked! I took Home Economics in high school and college to increase my sewing knowledge. My creative talents were unleashed when I majored in Art at Cumberland College. Always creative, my skills soared during my teaching years while designing activities for my students. After I became a mother of four I found myself designing crafts, creating home items, and clothing for my family and friends. Now that I am a grandmother and retired from teaching, I have devoted myself to being a full time artisan in the sewing field. I now look forward to sharing my talents with my customers by helping them create their warm home with my creations as I did for my family!

2017 Appalachian Festival
Since 1974, the Appalachian Festival has been under the auspices of the Appalachian Community Development Association, a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to promote the educational, cultural and social well-being of the Appalachian population of the Greater Cincinnati area. The festival began in 1970. The purpose of the Appalachian Festival is to provide a marketplace for tranditional hand-made Appalachian Crafts; foster amount Applachian migrants in the Greater Cincinnati Area, a sense of pride in their heritage; educate the general public about the Appalachian Culture and to celetebrate old-time Appalachian Music, Dance, Stories, Cooking and other cultural treasures. We distribute the revenue from the festival to the Smal Grants Program. The Small Grants are awarded to those educational and/or cultural program/projects that propose to affirm and enchace the lives of Appalachians and promote pride in the Appalachian Culture.
